Desiree Marshall
Lead Organizer
(646) 336-6789 ext. 208
Desireé Marshall first came to FIERCE in July 2007 to head up our base-building and member recruitment. In January 2008 she transitioned to Lead Organizer, responsible for youth leadership in campaign development. Desireé’s first introduction to social justice organizing came when she participated in CTWO’s Movement Activist Apprenticeship Program (MAAP) in 2006. During her MAAP internship she organized low-income families with the Miami Worker’s Center. Working with a constituency she readily identifies with brought her to FIERCE. Desireé is also a Spoken Word Poet and can make a fierce batch of stuffed pasta shells. It's true.
