John joined the FIERCE staff in January 2009 as an Organizer after over a year of being an active member. John graduated from high school in New York City in 2008 where they helped to coordinate their school’s gay/straight alliance. They currently are the Lead Organizer of FIERCE, working with active members to lead FIERCE's campaign work. They are 22 years old and have been involved in LGBTQ Youth Organizing for about 4 1/2 years. Through their LGBTQ Youth Organizing they have done some movement building work with coalitions such as Right to the City and co-facilitated workshops at the National Gay & Lesbian Creating Change Conference in Minneapolis Minnesota. They are invested in creating a movement that does not exclude any community.
