Media
All too often the experiences of LGBTQ youth of color are left out of the mainstream media. At FIERCE, we are committed to fostering a space where we are the actors in creating our own independent media. From film, to writing, and creative performance, FIERCE is pushing the boundaries of what is deemed "news worthy" and crafting spaces to talk about our struggles, work, and vision for justice. An important part of this path is building the media production skills and knowledge base of our community. Click HERE to see our youth produced independent media.
In addition to producing our own independent media, FIERCE also engages in media advocacy work. Media advocacy means holding media outlets accountable, including making sure they accurately and consistently report on the issues facing our community.
