Education & Training
Due to our current concentration on our internal leadership development programs, FIERCE is not presently conducting external workshops.
FIERCE aims to conduct regular political education and skill-building trainings available to FIERCE's constituency locally and nationally. FIERCE continues its efforts to raise the level of social consciousness and political power of LGBTQ youth of color as a means to strengthen our own organizing efforts as well as to build the visibility of LGBTQ youth of color struggles on a national scale.
We are in the process of developing a toolkit to be released by the end of the year containing workshops, organizing models and other information we hope will help to build the power and leadership of LGBTQ youth across the nation!
Our skill-building trainings include topics such as: campaign development, direct action tactics, practical skills for community organizing, and media advocacy. Our political education training topics have included anti-oppression trainings, histories of social change movements, the prison industrial complex, NYC's political structure and process, as well as a series of street law and know your rights trainings.
